The Speakeasy is an integral component of the combination for me. Even though I use tube 122 amplifiers, the Speakeasy makes them sing; my old rig of a Hammond 1122 kit was ok, the use of a Hamptone Preamp Pedal added nothing to the sound that my 1122 didn't already generate on its own (for less than half the money!), but when I added my first Speakeasy (for about a $100 less than the Hamptone with more options), that's when my organ tone started to breathe for me.
