You can buy a little midi Patch bay (MidiMan, MidiQuest, a few folks make em) for less than $90 that are little half-rack or smaller boxes with front panel controls. They are small, and light, and can be velcroed to the top or bottom of any keyboard or shelf and you can just manually switch the routing of the midi info.

For example....most of these are 8x3 (8outputs numbered 1-8, and 3 inputs lettered A-C). You can take the Midi Output from your K'weil, plug it into Input A. Take Output 1 and plug into Midi In of your K'weil. From the front of the box, you'll see Outputs 1-8 each has a 3position switch which determines which Input feeds the Outputs. Simply changing Output 1's switch to anything but A will stop the flow of info to the Kweil.

Seems to be your quickest and ez-iest solution. I wouldn't be surprised if www.ashbysolutions.com has a little box that will do this too.
