Yeah, I liked the bars on the HS, but the distortion sounded like crap on the
second 12
bars when the chords would jump up an octave. Really annoying sounding crackle.
The Electro did indeed sound much darker, and the bars on the lower manual
suffered a
little as a result I think, but I like its distortion the most. The CX-3 just
proved to me once
again that Korg relies HEAVILY on effects like reverb to make their stuff sound
good. It
sounded more like a combo than a clone. I really liked the UM on the B4, but I
thought
that the LM had to much high end for that setting, a little too much in the way
of upper
harmonics, drawing too much attention to the walking line (maybe a result of the

particular set of virtual tonewheels?). Of the four, the one I think I could do
without
playing is the CX-3. I think I could be happy playing any of the others.
