Subject:Re: I Want The XK3
...by the way, one clone that tends to get bashed a bit on this website is
the Electro. Why is totally beyond me...it does killer tonewheel sounds, as
well as Rhodes, Wurlitzer, and Clavinet...is really light (73 keys, 21
lbs.)...gets periodic FREE sound updates...has a great action (same Fatar keys and
keybed as the CX-3/BX-3)...and a really killer C/V as well as a rotating speaker
effect. Sure, the sustain of the acoustic piano makes playing a Beethoven
sonata difficult, but in a group situation, it sounds great, and cuts thru other
instruments like you need it to. Even the LED and button "drawbars" are
really easy once you spend awhile with it. When I am traveling light and don't
feel like hauling my BX, the Electro proudly gets the job. And yes, I have
received many compliments on it's sound as well. So to those who bash the Electro
(or the Korg, Roland, Voce, H/S, etc), respectfully, GET A LIFE. If you use it
to make your kind of music, and it works for you, go for it. There's another
$.02 worth..........AW
