Subject:Re: B4 / EVB3 - to Speakeasy or not to Speakeasy

Ed, First, the Speakeasy CAN'T HURT! That said, here are some of my
thoughts: The EVB3 has such good Leslie grind/overdrive emulation,
and is already so soft, smooth and analog sounding, that I don't know
how necessary the Speakeasy is for it. I use the Speakeasy in part
because it interfaces the 1/4 output into the 145. It makes a big
difference with the CX-3, though still no match for the EVB3. I can't
honestly say how much it helps the EVB3, but I do suspect it gives it
that final analog breath. In fact, when I want to go to aggressive
overdrive, I just up it on the EVB3, and I suspect the Speakeasy then
highlights with its clarity magic. But guess what - Lounge Lizard
benefits when run through the Speakeasy and here's the kicker - EVD6
through the Speakeasy is so ___k'n incredible, no exaguration, through
the Speakeasy. I wish I had a stereo one to run LL & EVD6 into the
EON 15s and organ to the Leslie. Come to think of it, I could run the
EVD6 & LL through the EVB3's Leslie overdrive and see how that is.
Hope this at least helps some.

Regards,

Doug
