Subject:Re: I Want The XK3
DON'T DO IT!!! KEEP that beautiful KORG CX-3!!! I played an XK-2 for 3
years, and while it was a good enough clone, who needs that lousy V/C you get with
the internal Leslie?? Hammond Suzuki has shown the public, ever since the
XB-2, that they want you to invest in an external Leslie. They want this so much
they even tell you, in the copy describing their clones' features (check the HS
site), that the best sound comes from an external. In 11/02 I got a Version 2
CX-3 and in 1.5 years I've had it, it's always been eminently SATISFYING and
NOVEL every time I play. The "rotary" function is as close to the real thing
as I've ever come across, but I'm sure if you think about your CX-3 you'll
agree. I repeat, KEEP THE CX-3. Maybe get something to enhance the experience, if
you want... a good Leslie or something. But KEEP IT! Do NOT go the XK-3 path!
And no, I'm NOT envious of the XK-3ers either! (Well, I mean, it'd be cool to
PLAY one but I wouldn't wanna live there) Best - Adam
