Funny you should mention those old Wurly spinets. Seattle Public Schools had those in every music room and they were great playing pianos. They had an almost yellow light finish (always pretty beat up!) set up on big casters. I played one in stage band in high school. You're right, great action. Norm
I'd be interested in a weighted piano action controller
only if it had no more hefty push on the keys than an old Wurly or a
light action acoustic piano, for me also Wurlitzer which I learned on
as a kid and recorded on later, their Studio Upright model. If you
ever see one of these vintage spinets in a store or studio, do
yourself a favor and play it, might be a new take on piano-weighted
action.
