I think that Win98 SE requires a keyboard and mouse to be plugged in. Win2K doesn't.

When I boot up, if those two aren't plugged in, it beeps and goes no further. Since I am running a desktop PC w/ no screen, I can't give you the exact message, but I'll assume it's something akin to "DEVICE MISSING"

I'm tempted to reformat that machine w/ Win2K, but right now it is running soooooooooo fine and fast, very low latency, no MIDI hung notes, etc. I could not get the latest version of the kvx driver to load correctly, but a prior version worked just fine.

I'd like to see about getting Steinberg's V-STACK and maybe Lounge Lizard, but I can't find anything on V-STACK at Steinberg's site. Odd!
