Not quite an accurate analogy. The H/X EXP100 swell pedal is designed to
accurately mimic the swell pedal on the old console Hammonds in size and
feel. The EXP100a is a seriously built pedal, not just some plastic control
voltage pedal one can buy on Musician¹s Friend or whatever. Bruce is
correct in his viewpoint that it does not ship with each XK-3 because it
adds tremendous cost to the product and after all, hitting a price point to
achieve maximum market share. It¹s the same reason that swell pedals are
not included with other competing brands.
