You hit it right on the head. Most listeners in clubs have NO idea how a
Hammond should sound. I have played some house B3's that sound as bad as
DX7's and they still come up and say "Man, that organ sound's incredible!"..



If your rig inspires you to play good music, then that's the rig you need to
be performing with..

The usual counterargument is that even if the hammondesque tone
doesn't matter to the listener, it still matters to the player, who
in turn will play in a more inspired manner, which should, in a
perfect world, make for a better listening experience for the average
audience member. And that's a valid point. .
