Yes you can set up another keyboard for the 2nd manual, and the right set of drawbars will control the 2nd manual's tweaks in real time.

Larry Halpern wrote:Thanks to Mitch and Tony and everyone else for the reports on the
XK3. It sounds like Hammond/Suzuki has pushed the envelope on what's
available at 43 lbs and $2195. I haven't noticed such enthusiasm on the
list for a product since the Speakeasy preamps came out. A couple of
things I wondered about:

I noticed that the spec sheet I saw on the web mentioned "Water Fall
keys with Velocity." Can the internal sounds be set to respond to touch
(I realize a Hammond can't do that) or is that just for controlling
external sounds through MIDI?

Has anyone tried setting up a second manual directly underneath the
XK3? I wondered if you needed a MIDI merge box to make that work and
also if the drawbars can be set to control the lower manual in real
time. My Voce V5 controls 2 manuals and pedals but I can only change
drawbar settings in real time on one keyboard, so if I change to a
lighter registration on the upper keyboard, I can't instantly
compensate by pushing in the drawbars for the other keyboard and
pedals. The XK3 specs mention "3 sets of Drawbars, 9-Upper, 9 Lower, 2
Pedal" so I'm guessing that it can do this, which would be nice.

Thanks, again for the reports. I'm glad you're enjoying your new
instrument.
