Subject:Do response to emails get posted to the automatic bulletin board, and...

Do these things get posted to the CWSG "automatic emailing
list?" -- where it goes out to whoever likes it set up that way? I like
it that way because then I don't have to go to the posts unless I want
to look up something real specific.

I would love to see a side-by-side comparison of the top contenders
in the clone category, and some thoughts on why you folks like the
clones you use. They should all be set up with the same amp rig, and
then through different ones, because it isn't always the same when you
run a Roland through Brand X amplifier rigs - does one combination of
gear work better than another? That is, as compared by the same group of
ears?

I would also like a comparison of the double manuals. I have a
sneaking suspicion that in order for me to get what I might really want,
I may have to wait until after NAMM, 2005.

A would also like to say something that might be a little
heretical, but if I am buying a clone of a Hammond B3, then I DON'T WANT
A HAMMOND B3 - IF I WANTED A HAMMOND B3 I WOULD HAVE SAVED MY PENNIES
AND BOUGHT A HAMMOND B3!!!

What I really want is a clone that faithfully reproduces the sound
of a B3 as close as possible, but hey manufacturers, its a DIGITAL
keyboard - you can make it sound like all kinds of things so why limit
it? Why not have a ton of great sounds built-in too? And why not make
BOTH keyboards on a double manual aftertouch sensitive? I know the cost
may have to increase, but the expressive power in one of these babies -
I am drooling at the possibility!

I also would like to see the wood paneling removed. It looks cool,
but its extra weight. With gas at $2 a gallon, I want the lightest load
I can get, and a stand that will attach to it in a modular kind of way
that will prevent it from moving even if I am pounding on that keyboard!
I think it would have to connect to the bench somehow. I do NOT want my
keyboard to move. That's my job.

I want (1) balanced outputs (TRS is OK, but XLR is better), (2) a
grounded 3-prong plug (hey, I'm crazy... I want one - no matter what
anybody thinks-- ground for NOISE?).

A case designed specifically for it would be cool, with wheels and
handles please!

That, and it has to sound fantastic.

And it would be nice if someone just gave me a couple of them and
their stands, benches, accessories, cords, and roadies - all for free,
for life. You can throw in omnitience and omnipotence if its available.

Hope I'm not asking too much.

;)
