Subject:Leslie voltage conversion

Would I be right in assuming that a step-down transformer (~300W,
240->117) + 60Hz upper/lower pulley would be the necessary (and
easiest) way to use a 117v/60Hz Leslie in 240V/50Hz europe?

How many taps does the original transformer have? Is it possible to
replace it instead?
