For what its worth, I have briefly run the Lounge Lizard through the
SE Classic, and the EVD6 through the SE. Both get at least some
benefit, but the EVD6 in particular, just absolutely kills through the
SE. I don't drive it into overdrive, but the clarity is outstanding,
with any traces of harshness rounded off as well. I know that sounds
contradictory, but thats the magic of a SE tube preamp. Its only in
mono, but that is fine for Clav, and most epianos for that manor until
you want the stereo rhodes tremolo (ping pong). I don't have the
keyboard tube, so I don't know how my classic compares to that.
