Subject:RE: Korg CX-3: Roland KC 350 or Motion Sound KT-80?
I used to own a KC500. It had good bass but the mids and highs were very,
very harsh. I use one KT80 for practices and jams and two at gigs. They're
great in stereo, but even mono they're a good amp.
I have not used the KC350, I assume it's a newer model of the KC300. I've
used a KC300 at some jams and found them to be incredibly underpowered. I
have never had to turn my KT80 past half. I will not tell you it's as clear
in the highs as my Mackie SRM450s, but if I had to pick between the two I'd
go w/the KT80 in a second. They're small, light and if you shop around, the
same price. I paid $380 for my first KT80 for a B stock from music123.com
and paid $300 on eBay for my second. The two of them together are the size,
weight and price of a Twin Reverb and sound amazing in stereo.
