First remember that the Motion Sound is a bastardization of the leslie! In this case, the chicken DID come before the egg! :-)

Now, the $2000.00 price tag for the 2101, is that for the the top piece only, or for the top and bottom piece together?

If you can build the thing you have described here, what would it cost you? I myself have no idea how to build a "simple stereo rotating drum simulator", much less some of the other things described here. But in theory, there are some good ideas here.

-mono organ + stereo (nonprocessed) inputs would do for me.
-Some simple stereo rotating drum simulation (am or dsp)
-4 amp channels (leslie horn, 2*stationary horns, woofer)
-same footprint and upper compartment as 122/147, but only 2*the
hight of the upper compartment
-woofer could be bass reflex
-use 6.5" coax elements or wideband horns for fron stereo
-nice red lacquered wood finish to suit my nord electro ;-)
-line/xlr output section with separate mix for:
1.organ dry(optional lp filter @150Hz)
2.aux input
3.simulated organ low
4.2*mike in + level for external HF microphones

Another similar idea is using 4 coax 6.5" facing forwards and
backwards in pairs, one pair firing into the (bass reflex) lower
compartment, the other pair firing into the (semi open) rotor
compartment, requiring some tuning of louvre area for even response.

Anyone got any opinions?
