Subject:CX-3 component

Hey,
I recently unloaded my CX-3 (one of the newer ones) from its case
after a gig. When I did, I heard something rolling around inside it.
I was assuming that it was a screw or something, as the board had
never been dropped/mishandled, and was always stored/transported in
the case.

Well, we opened it up. It turned out to be not a screw, but a silver
cylinder that resembles an AAA battery. It was in a plastic, clip-
type thing that seemed to have broken off, and the other piece seemed
to still be wherever this piece belonged.

There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the organ when I play
it. BUT, keyboards don't tend to have tonsils and appendixes that
serve no apparent purpose (some onboard sequencers excluded).

Any idea what this is, and where it might go? Next stop, technician.
And with our local tech, it will be out of service for a while. (Last
time, my board was in the shop for 9 months, after a promise of "I'm
only a couple of days behind".)

thanks,
jamieb
