Subject:Re: XK3 Owners - What tweaks have you made?...and Chops for sale!

As for myself, I have a couple banks of preset "templates": the banks are identical, but one bank has the leslie sim on (in case for some reason I can't bring one) and the other, more oft used bank, has the leslie disabled. As for the presets in those banks, I first went through the organ and found a handful of presets I really liked, and then tweaked those to my liking. Mostly these presets work off the variations in tube overdrive and "cleanliness." A bit of tweaking as far as the depth of chorus, the amount of percussion (I really liked how the VK series percussion seemed to leap out at you, so I emulated that a bit), the interaction of the percussion and overdrive (think Keith Emerson), the softer percussion sounds of Booker T, and then just some full-on Jon Lord-type grinders.

And at first I was going crazy using all those sounds in a night, but now I find myself in whatever mood I am in that night just working from a preset and using "that" organ for the night and tweaking on the fly. Man, I forgot how much fun that was!!!

Now, for the shocker: I have two Hammond chops for sale. You can see their pictures in the files (members rigs) page. Both are beautiful players, and have tone for days. Both have cycle regulators installed to ensure stable tuning. The Numerous Complaints chopper has a Trek Preamp, a Trek reverb unit, and an extra gain stage for more bite. The Hammondstore Chop is all tube. Both organs have dual 122 outputs, and a line out as well. Both feature foot and hand speed switching. Both come with wheel dollies and custom made padded LeCovers. If interested, hit me offline for pricing etc. I've started going back to school, and dont have time to play both of these organs (didn't have time before, but now with school?....forget it), and I could use a little assistance with the tuition. These organs should be played, not looked at. Lemme know!

Going to check out the new XK3 at my local store. They got three in
and the first sold in less than 4 hours! Just curious what tweaks
you have made to make it more "Hammond" like! Please describe with
settings, if possible. Thanks!
