Subject:Gaff tape and wood veneer

Can you put gaff tape on a wood veneer top of a clone as a backing
for Velcro strips, or will it leave "age" marks when removed after
awhile? I'm thinking probably yes, anyone know? VK-8 veneers are said
to be "real" wood.(?) Walter
