It's really funny that you mention that, Bruce...when time is tight, or when
I'm using my coupe instead of my truck, I use my Electro 73 instead of my
BX-3. Well, I'm not overzealous or extreme in my playing, but I have sent my
Electro off of the stand twice (I caught it both times) doing smears up the
keyboard because it's just too light, and the 2nd tier extension bars were too close
together. The BX-3 on its stand is ROCK SOLID, almost on par with my
C-3...you could do handstands on it without it flinching (I don't, of course). For
certain kinds of playing (windmill chops, smears, etc), stability is
essential. I can't believe that it only weighs around 70 lbs...Alan
