well if more gain is all you require, then I don't think the
speakeasy is a good option. A $50 Behringer MIC100 tube amp will
actually do this better and with more control. Compare that to $500-
600 for a speakeasy (European pricing with special transformer &
taxes).

Or how about an Alesis mixer? That gives you tons of gain, flexible
routing options and inbuilt effects. For $99.

I own both of these products and use them with my Electro. I can
assure you that they work well!
