Their customer service opens by 8 AM PST, best to call early between
8-10 o'clock - as many musicians are good-for-nothing layabouts that
don't get up before noon ;^) Manual would be around $3-$4, not
expensive; I've bought manuals for used gear from them before. They
have fast service for sending things like manuals and parts, and
fairly good gear info depending on who you get on the line. I'm two
counties over, and if I order something in the morning, it arrives in
the mail the next afternoon.

The VK-8 is my pick of the best of the clones; key feel, greatest
variety of Hammond sounds with 4 reverbs, 3 tonewheel sets, 4 amp
types plus #4 doesn't increase volume with smooth overdrive, extra
vintage choruses, with rotary tweaks to 9.9 using Soundside edits and
a bit to taste by ear. Not enough info or elapsed time on the XK-3
yet for me to judge, maybe some bugs and "not-quite-there's" yet,
though it seems like it'll be a keeper for those who got it. I'm
keeping my Electro to play Wurlie/Rhodes then switch to B3 with
Rotary off or stopped, C/V and soft perc only, for a nice jazz, blues
sound - outboard reverb "makes" this really sweet.. Brian Auger, eat
