My recollection of the KP is that it needs an
attenuator on the tweeters, they were too loud for the speakers. My
Ampeg B-115HP bass amp has an attenuator for the tweeter and it's a
real nice thing to have when I use it for keys.
As far as paper for mids and highs for piano, I don't
buy it. I've used setups in the past with an 18" and 2X 10's biamped,
it was loud but didn't sound HiFi. While horns exaggerate the High
end, sometimes too much, it's good to have it to cut through guitars
and ringing cymbals. I tried the Carvin 1X15" 2X8" 1X Tweeter amp and
I can tell you everything the 8's put out I didn't need to hear. I
usually cut mids, it lets the keyboards sit in the onstage mix
better. TZ
