The BX-3 OS is the same as the CX-3's version 2 OS. In addition, the
BX-3 has pitch and modulation wheels (the CX-3 doesn't), which give
you more flexibility in controlling other MIDI devices. You can also
program the mod wheel to control various BX-3 functions. For example,
I've programmed many of my patches so that the mod wheel controls the
tonewheel brake function.
