Of course! I didn't even think of that... as much as I love my CX-3,
given a choice between it and a clean B-3 and Leslie 122, I'd go with the B. And
yes, for a recording, any organist would be nuts not to go that route too (no
offense to anyone who wouldn't go "that route", though!).
There's a color picture in "Beauty & The B", near the start of the book
(first edition, anyway; I haven't seen the newer one), of an A-100. I can't
really say why, but of all the console, tonewheel Hammonds still around out
there, this image is my "dream" Hammond! I've played lots of Hammond models,
tonewheel & clone, but for some reason this one grabs me. Go figure! Best -
