Subject:Best sound

Hi

Anyone got any tips for me to get the best sound for playing
Ska/Reggae? At the minute i use a b250 with a Yamaha spinner so as
you can imagine i'm a long way short of 'THAT' sound.

Any suggestions for pre amps or the best portable out there for my
choice of music will be greatly appreciated.
