Greg, I agree that most missed Claire's implied point. I think a post, and a
thread, about minding our manners is in order.

Besides the obvious points about not getting overly personal in posts - or
taking it OFFLINE and then KEEPING it there if you do - we should talk about
being in a "public" space and how we behave.

There is a tendency for us to sink into a "guys at the bar" kind of tone,
but there's an assumption there that those involved are the ONLY ones out
here.

Today, there are 1,124 of us and what you post stays here for as long as
this forum exists on the web. Are you a little intimidated at that thought?
Great, that's how we change our behaviour!

Think about how conversations at the office have changed. You don't make
references about "chicks" or disparaging remarks. I'm not asking anyone here
to change how they feel, to be more enlightened or compassionate, I'm asking
we simply THINK about and then monitor our BEHAVIOUR.

Do not assume that everyone here is your buddy, male, or looks at life the
way you do. Our common thread here is love of the hammond organ, emulating
(cloning) that sound and playing, using and buying gear related to that
interest. There over a thousand people on the forum and some of them might
wear panties on a daily basis and not appreciate a remark about said
panties, or they could be in a wheelchair or blind or be otherwise
handicapped. Yes, some of them might even be guitar players.

Let's be more considerate of everyone, say what we need to and leave the
personal stings off this forum.

I have enjoyed Claire's posts and will miss her point of view.
