Mitch, I highly, highly recomend using the MIDI-OX freeware, along
with its companion MIDI-YOKE. The mapping capabilities are simply
endless. I am an EVB3 user/lover (got it before the Windows cut-off)
and therefore don't have a B4 map. All real time controls work as if
the instruments were inside my CX3. The "pop the hood and get out the
parts bin" controls are also contolled with the buttons and drawbars
as sliders. Same with Lounge Lizard. I use a CX3 for a
controller, and as I understand, the Hammond-Suzuki MIDI controls are a
bit more involved, but still very doable. You can make different maps
for different softsynths, and call them up instantly with your program
buttons. There are B4 users on the laptop musician group that I'm
sure could help you. Again, the net result of good mapping is that
your hardware clone will act as though it has been merely upgraded to
state-of-the-art tones.
Regards,
Doug
