Subject:Pro-Line Leslie volume control
Hi, I asked this on hammond_zone, but didn't get too much in the way
of response. Perhaps fellow cloners can offer suggestions.
I use a Leslie 860, which like all Pro-Line models has trim-pots for
the amp gain (technically an input pad, actually). This is a problem
for me as I rely on a preamp to give me all the grit and grind that
the solid-state amp doesn't. I therefore need to tweak Leslie volume
depending on the hall to hit the preamp hard enough yet not deafen
the audience. Has anyone replaced the trimmers with pots with knobs?
I've toyed around with this idead but would rather not start
desoldering the Leslie amp circuit boards.
