I'm an ass. I told myself I was done contributing to this group when the XK3/Mp3 battle started. I was basically labelled a whore who only shilled for gear manufacturers. (I wish)
Yahoo has been chronologically "reorganizing" the posts from this group to me, and things come so out of order that at times I don't know a post is referencing. I didn't see this post until now. What I did see was your post, and it looked like you had written Mr. Hot Rod's comments, along with the theremin crack...what looked like one long (although not nearly as long-winded as my own ultra-defensive and extraordinarily offensive insults to you) putdown towards me, which I thought was uncalled for as I don't even remember ever having had any unkind words with you.
It's no excuse. I let my emotions and keyboard run away with my better common sense. It's not enough to say I'm sorry. It's not even enough to say I'm a fool. But I am sheepishly contrite and embarassed.
I guess I'm still stinging from the "gear whore" accusations, and this just scraped the scab off that wound. And while I should know better, I didn't appreciate it, especially from a long-time member who has seen enough of my writing to know that I wouldn't bullshit anybody (and that you wouldn't drag Speakeasy into it either...makes you wonder what the Hot Rod's motives are), especially when it comes to spending hard-earned money for gear. And yet, here I was ignoring everything Ive seen you write over the past couple of years and lashing out even more harshly.
I'm really freakin sorry man. And Bill "HOT ROD", thanks buddy. Nice to see a lurker pop out every now and then regardless of the worthlessness of their contribution.
My membership deserves to be rescinded. :(

And for those that don't know: SPEAKEASYVINTAGEMUSIC is now a HAMMOND DEALER! (You can get your Speakeasy and XK3 in one phone call....as well as your Motion Sound 145 or Leslie 21 system.) Why shop anywhere else?
