Yes, we have. The demos also have a very artificial high end sound to
them. However, the organ does not. I turned down the key click to the
minimum.. It's nice to have a bit, but certainly not that much.
I will be performing with my XK3 today at the off Campus Pub in
Fullerton, CA.. from 6-10.

Subject: [CWSG] Excessive key click on XK-3 demo mp3's?
Just listened to the five XK-3 demo mp's from the Hammond site. These
are the five tunes by Tony Monaco, Joey DeFrancesco, Deryl Winston, et
al. Some of these tunes such as Monaco's 'Acid Wash' seem to be
excessively "clicky". Listen to Monaco's fast runs starting at about
1:50 into the tune. Also, to me, the quality of the click seems to be
rather artificial sounding. "Shooting Star' by Daisuke Kawai also
seems to have some of this click charater too. On the other hand,
DeFrancesco's cut 'B-3 Crazy' doesn't seem to have as much key click.
Far be it for me, a total know-nothing rank beginner, to question these
fellows, but I don't recall hearing a real Hammond being quite so
"clicky". I course I have no idea if these gentlemen set up their own
parameters on the organ, or just played the organ as received.
Just wondering if anyone else is hearing this.
