Tony,

I think you've missed my point (I might have been a bit vague). If you actually go back to the start of the thread, I positioned myself in favor of companies recovering R&D costs when the legitimacy of a company doing so was questioned. I still maintain that point of view.

This was a short, somewhat offhand reply that popped up to the discussion of the thread in relation to HS's R&D:

I'm not having a go at any of these brands at all, just pointing out that none of the core technology of any of the clones is new. To criticize one companies R&D department for its use of one specific technology over another's is unfounded.

Personally, I think that all the major players in the Hammond clone market are pushing the bar just that little bit higher with each new product release. This is entirely due to some clever and meticulous R&D. B-3 Nirvana minus the hernia: Bring it on!
