Yes, unfortunately this is absolutely correct.

Who wins? They are the larger companies which can
afford to offer a money-back guarantee or those big
box stores which can afford to sell it with a low
profit margin, and who tell people that they "can
order one for you." Then everyone talks about the
great price they got at that particular store, and
they sell a few more the same way. They have made no
commitment to purchasing the product, training their
salepeople to demo and show it, or, God forbid,
advertise it into the marketplace that they are the
dealer for it. The smaller dealers won't stock it for
the reasons Dave mentioned. It's too bad that the
music retail channels have eroded. There are answers
and things to be done, which don't need to be
discussed here.
