Subject:VK8 or VK7?

I have played a VK7 for many years. I bought the VK8 6 months ago due to
the improved chorus/vibrato and waterfall keys. I play through a Leslie
142 so (at first) the substandard Leslie sim was not an issue for me.
Also, I thought I could accept the cryptic editing scheme with no LCD.
Now I have found that there are times when I want to go light with the
equipment. While I used to be able to plug the VK7 into an amp and go,
the Leslie sim on the VK8 is so irritating that I don't enjoy playing it
by itself. The editing scheme has also be a big downer. I was going to
sell the VK7 initially but have not gotten around to it. Now I am
thinking I am going to sell the VK8 instead and go back to the VK7.
Anyone else have this experience?
