are all your AC plugs plugged into the same outlet? if not you may be getting
a ground loop..too many paths to ground. one good quality power strip to one
outlet. another remedy that has been discussed here is the use of DI boxes
with ground lift switches. I use these in my studio whenever connections start to
turn into spaghetti. it usually does the job but is trial and error.
