Subject:RE: Pianos in V-COMBO; how "tweakable"??

There are three velocity settings. 4 EQ knobs on the front panel. 1 knob is a sweepable mid range control. I gave up taking my Kurz PC2 out and once I got used to the lighter non weighted keys I was fine. It is an adjustment but having one board for me is really cool. It is easy to tweak on the fly as far as adjusting levels of layers or splits organ params etc. You cannot layer or split organ with organ or synth with synth etc. Too bad. The Roland organ is a great sound for a clone. Everyone has there faves here on this list! I had an Electro which I liked but needed more stuff for an all-in-one keyboard. Swiss knife if you will. It's all a compromise you know.

In other words, how much control do you have over the Velocity, EQ,
etc.?? can they actually be made to be "semi-playable"?
I have a Yamaha P=250 for gigs where piano stuff is important...but
I'm consdiering an "all-in-one" solution for other gigs/jam
sessions/etc.
I have a Korg CX-3 (version 2.0) now. While I have owned several
Hammond consoles over the years, I'm not totally after a 100%
authentic clone sound. But, the fact that you can layer piano/oran
and synth appeals to me.
What are your thoughts??
