Mark, dude, relax.. It's not like I am offending your
child. For god's sake its only a freekin' piece of
electronic hardware... Don't get so wired about my
comments about H/Z... Remember... they are not perfect...

You XK3 guys are taking all this much too seriously! I
agree with Bruce Wahler, remember why this list is here.
It's to comment on B3 clones and to offer help to others.
I believe I have done that... And by the way, you all
should thank Bruce for all his help in the past. Many give
me credit for the CX3 settings, but they are all based on
what Bruce initially posted. I just tweaked them to match
my four B3's...

For the record, I never said that the XK3 is inferior... I
am only commenting on the features that I have experienced
either first hand at NAMM or through my research.

And regarding "doing my homework".. It is a FACT that no
dealer in the LA area has one to demo. There have been
several good people who have offered me the opportunity to
try one out via email, and I may still take them up on it.
I just personally don't see any significant advantages for
me to cough up another $2000 to "upgrade" at this time...
Who knows... I may take one of my friends offers and try
out the XK3... I may end up liking it enough to spend the
extra money... I always reserve the right to change my
mind.

Now let's be real about why we are here. I do like the
CX3, but I like my B3's much better... The CX3, Electro,
VK7, and XK3 are only CLONES of the real thing. None of
them sound like a real Hammond console organ...

I could get on a high horse and state that you must own
and perform with a B3, C3, RT3, or A100 to even comment on
which clones sound the best. But I respect that many of my
fellow list members have never had the opportunity to own
or play these wonderful instruments, and who am I anyway
to put my colleages down because they play clones? I have
heard some wonderful musicians play organs that many of
you would laugh at... and sound better than a mediocre
musician playing a great B3!

I am just following the original charter of this list.
Take my comments for what they are... Just opinions from
one musician... That's all...

So Mark, relax and enjoy your XK3... I hope that you give
pleasure to all the people you are performing for. And if
not, at least you can give yourself the pleasure that you
deserve.
