Subject:clone/rack/synth - creamware

Just read a review of Creamware's 2u rack box that uses plugins. One of
them is a Hammond emulator that seems to have most of the bells & whistles.

This is an interesting approach. It's a standalone 2u DSP box that you
configure and install plugins to your liking. The $1295 retail box can
handle two plugins and the $1500 box can handle four. There are a few
analog synth plugins w/limited voices, a six string guitar (six voices, I
guess) for an extra $250, and of course, the B3 emulator. In theory, you
could set up two B3 emulators and use them at once.

There's no configuration for controllers, which I think is silly. So you've
got to tailor your controller to use it.

Not sure how many people need another plugin besides Hammond in their rack,
but I thought it merited some discussion here.
