Subject:Re: TRS plugs question (may be a little OT)
I have some issues that appear to be cable related, but have found that
that a change of location, with a set up in a different building can
contribute to the increase or decrease in noise. There are other
factors to consider. Electrical circuit and equipment set up location.
Changes in ground and circuits and circuits that share RF producing
items (fluorescent ballasts, motors, computers, etc.) can be
experienced with a change of location. Paul Simon reminded that "One
mans ceiling is another mans floor". Cables laid on a floor can be in
close proximity to beneath the floor RF producers. Gig locations
frequently are no exemplar of proper electrical installation. Just
another thing to consider.
