On the EVB3 panel, there is a swith for MIDI mode. Roland VK and Korg
CX-3 users should use the "0" setting, and Hammond XB users should
choose "1". The EVB3 takes the following CC#s as follows:

Drawbar 16' : cc# 70
Drawbar 5-1/3' : cc# 71
Drawbar 8' : cc# 72
Drawbar 4' : cc# 73
Drawbar 2-2/3' : cc# 74
Drawbar 2' : cc# 75
Drawbar 1-3/5' : cc# 76

Drawbar 1' : cc# 78

For the cx3, global channel 1 operates the upper manual's drawbars,
global channel 2 operates the lower manual's drawbars, and global
channel 3 operates the pedal manual's two drawbars; On the VK, which
only has one set of drawbars, my guess is that you have an upper/lower
button that will dictate if your drawbars control the EVB3's
upper/lower/pedal. BTW, Clonewheeler Steffan Diedrichsen created the
EVB3, and has a VK77 - so it should work pretty well.

There are several others, but they really don't seem relevant to a
single recording session. The mouse can controll these "non-primary"
parameters, similar to menue type tweaks. Some of the above controls
may be bass-backwards, such as percussion 2nd/3rd or chorale/brake,
but not a major problem for your session. BTW, I have everything
mapped really well with MIDI-OX. If you have another knob or fader
that transmits cc#s, assign that cc# to morph the presets on the upper
manual. Also assign the "end" of the preset range (i.e. A# morphs
between two presets, G morphs between three presets, and on down. If
you have a larger keyboard, the next octave down acts as preset keys,
just like on a B3. You can manipulate the presets with your drawbars,
and that's will they will remain for the rest of your session until
you change them again. Do take a minute to explore the "condition"
parameters, especially the Filter Age. Max wheels should be all the
way to the right. Try a few of the factory settings to find one you
like, then tweak from there. BTW, if you use the Leslie sim, I find
the Wood cabinet, with the deflector on, and mic setting toward the
right (far) and spread toward the right (far) works nice, with
moderate distortion level and distortion tone, with the growl type.
That obviously will depend on what type of music you are recording and
what your tastes are. Good luck, and contact me with any specific
questions. Steffan Diedrichsen is obviously a good one to contact as
well (from the group). If you have a good ½ hour to acclimate, you
should be very pleased. Its as good a surrogate for a B3 as there is
in my opinion, as well as most others who have tried it. To bad they
make it so hard to get into.
