I agree. Angled up is the way to go. If pushed too hard I have found it will clip. For some reason since using the stereo Speakeasy I am not driving the amp as hard and am able to get better volume. Norm

I play a VK7 through a 142 and use the KP200s for synth sounds. My band
has a piano player. I have never had fuller string sounds and pads with
any all-in-one combo amp than the KP. Using the expander really fattens
up things. In my experience, the low end sounds fine. An added benefit
is the XLR stereo outs which transmit this expander effect quite well to
the mains. This is the best keyboard amp I have ever had, including the
Peavey KB300, Roland KC-500 and the Sona 41. A pair of Mackie SRM 450's
are definitely better but a lot more work setting up. It definitely
sounds better on a stand angled up. I use the ultimate amp stand, I
think it is called "Genesis".

Well it does a good job in stereo for piano, electric pianos, any other
patch
that can be use in stereo my gripe with it is that it does not go low
enough
in the low registration (12 inch speakers) MikeW.
