That is way too funny. Everyone is doing that cheesy move now. The
Behringer tube preamps all have the plastic window with the LED lit
tube, and the latest version of the Korg (i think) Electribe
Sampler/sequencer/beatbox workstation thingie has "the window", too.

I guess they dont even run the filament hot enough to even glow
naturally. I actually saw someone selling a "moded" Behringer
Ultragain preamp on eBay a while back. He had replaced the yellow LED
that was lighting up the tube with a supposedly more realistic orange
LED!!! OOOHH, I'm impressed!

OK, since this thread was originally Namm and Electro... Did anyone
at all get any definative upgrade news from the Clavia booth? Tony
Labrasca had a 3 word mention the other day (organ tweaks, new
pianos, velcity curves) but no other definative word or dates have
been reported. Someone else said "nothing" was new.

Anyone have ony other reports?
