Subject:Tube shield/ AX7

I need a little help in changing the 12AX7 in one of my preamps. The tube
is inside a metal tube, that looks like it might slide off. I need to take
it off in order to get at the tube.

Do these jackets usually pull off? Do they screw off? Do they bayonette?

Any ideas would be appreciated.
