Ummmm...bearing in mind that Joey's usual instrument of choice doesn't have
any little screen anywhere on it, doesn't it seem possible, even likely, that
its location on the XK-3 was irrelevant to him? Again this comes back to
individual habits and preferences, but as one who uses no presets on my XK-2 (i
just like pulling drawbars), I can honestly say I hardly ever look at the screen.
Ok, if I feel like cheating with transposition on a tune, I'll use it for
that. Otherwise I have no need to see it while I'm playing. In fact I always
thought it was kind of amusing that the screen would graphically depict the
location of each of the drawbars, located about 8 inches away on the left. It
doesn't get much more pointless than that!
