Well, we're just speculating here, but a project like this requires
two things - really really good engineers, and somebody giving them
feedback who is a passionate Hammond player. That combo is rare
enough that a small company like Clavia is just as likely to get it
as a large corp like Suzuki.
You mentioned having the schematics earlier as an advantage for
Suzuki, but it isn't - not only do today's circuits bear no
resemblance to the Hammond of 40 years ago, but ANYBODY can have the
circuits by buying the service manual (I have had it for years).

If Laurens Hammond were around, he would be horrified at the types of
music his organ has been used for, and would forbid his company to
cater to us scruffy professional musicians at all.
