CV and BV did not have an extra chorus generator, you are thinking of
a BC (for chorus) or BCV (vibrato scanner + chorus generator). They
were monstrously heavy, and had a much gentler sound than the chorus
generator.

The diff between a CV and C-2 is selective vibrato - you can turn it
on or off on each manual independently. Also the chorus and vib are
combined into a single six position rotary switch instead of the
earlier toggle switch/rotary arrangement.
