Subject:RE: Quick Electro Question

Definitely take a look at the online manual. You'll want to use a pedal for the leslie speed switching. You'll want to make a little note from the manual on how to adjust the KEY CLICK and Perc Vol, and if you're playing a 73, how to set your Octave up/down for each "manual." You'll also want to maximize the master, volume and output knobs for your liking too...you can do that for each program. (I actually leave my Volume full on all the time, and tweak the output and master knobs for each patch.) Of course, write down the "save" procedure. All of this is very simple, but take a look at the manual and make yourself a little crib sheet.

Save yourself a bank of programs (a bank is all I use for all my Hammond stuff). And while you're at it, take some headphones and tweak yourself a couple clav, rhodes and wurli sounds....you'll be glad you did. I think you'll find that you'll prefer the Elec Grand for the piano sounds, but regardless of which you choose, make sure you tweak the presence knobs to adjust the frequencies to your liking, then save that patch as well.

I think you'll find you like the Electro more than you expect. The drawbuttons won't take all that much to get used to.
