A lot of objective factors may be responsible... as well as the
influence of having a cool wooden cabinet that smells heated dust
and old lube :-)

My guess:
*non-linear behaviour of single-amped tube amplifer vs bi-amped
solid-state

*different physical dimensions resulting in peaks and notches at
different frequencies depending on rotating horn position

*different drivers with different frequency response

*different design of louvres

And, of course, physics limits the amount of loud low-frequency
output available from a small enclosure, so that the ms products
must either have less lf, or lower max spl.

btw, anyone have precise (anechoic preferreably) measurements of
122/147 frequency-response? Im thinking about a little project ;-)
