I dunno, I still have the original speaker/tube components in my 122 except
for a SS relay I installed from BB organ 3 years ago that I'm still getting
used to because it doesn't react as fast as the old spring/contact which
admittedly had to be replaced because it would stick after a while.. Ran it pedal to
the metal with the chicken-head knob at max at 4-hour gigs since I got it off
the showroom floor in Omaha from Reniers back in '70. Played hard rock and
hauled it around through all seasons of weather for many years, thru the midwest,
California, Arizona, Las Vegas... even put the 122 on a plane and played a gig
in Guam from Omaha and back. Don't know why its lasted this long...obviously
the exception, but i'm here to say that it is possible..
