Subject:RE: Leslie tone better than MS 145 - why?
Two words; "Wood" and "Space"....
-----Original Message-----
Several folks so far in here have stated clearly that Leslies sound
better than either the Motion Sound equivalent - whether Pro3T/LoPro
or the new 145 all-in-one.
It's been a long time since I played a (borrowed) B3 through a
Leslie, and I've never A/Bed one with my Motion Sound setup.
As far as I can see, Motion Sound took pains to use a quality horn,
crossed over at the same freq - 800Hz- as Leslies do, and the 12"
woofer has plenty of power, and it fires into a rotating baffle
similar to the Leslie as well.
So.. I know we're talking about intangibles, but could someone try to
explain?
